Aniimo Evolutions
Lumin, Gamma, Nova, and the Pebbling fork — do not evolve the only copy just because the button glowed.
Every wild Aniimo you catch is a stage, not a finished statue. The index language is Lumin → Gamma → Nova: baby, middle, final. Some lines skip Gamma and jump. A few Nova options branch. A couple of specialists in CBT dumps (Somniwing, Besauce) simply do not evolve the way Emberpup does — you are ranking the body you have. This page is the growth loop. Names live on the creature index. Materials live in the RV on Homeland. Duplicate value starts with how to catch. Four-slot planning lives in the team builder.
Global CBT listed about 94 named records. Launch marketing still says more than 200 on 16 September 2026 (PC and consoles; mobile on the 23rd). Gates, item names, and even which lines branch can still move. Treat every level number from a wiki dump as a snapshot, not as a contract.
Lumin, Gamma, Nova
Lumin is the body the meadow hands you: Emberpup, Skippy, Hummin, Celestis, Nimbi, Pebbling, Helmut. Cute. Incomplete. A Lumin can still Twine, still Snap, still teach a role. It is not the Alpha plan. If your four slots are four Lumin DPS, you have a kindergarten, not a party.
Gamma is the middle stage most lines pass through: Flameruff, Pranky, Pawney. Stats jump. The role usually stays. This is where people waste crystals because the model looks ‘done’ and the Nova gate is one more hike.
Nova is the field identity testers actually argued about: Scorchhowl, Glacy, Tuckin, Stellarys, Rookey, Inferlupa. Inferlupa is a useful reminder that a Nova can also be a side grade (Fire/Dark Break) off a Fire DPS family rather than a simple paint job. Read the Aniilog row. Do not assume every Emberpup becomes the same adult.
Story companions follow the spirit of the ladder even when their index slots are weird. Lunara → Fennelun is the named fox fork. Helion’s later sun-lion stage used shifting names across tests; plan on a Light melee identity, not on a surprise Water Nova.
Branches: Pebbling is the warning poster
Most Gamma stages have one adult. Pebbling is the exception everyone quotes: the Lumin rock can fork at Gamma into Lavazar or Geodeback, then toward Magmarex or Minespine in dumps. What they eat, which Alpha you beat, which hot spring you sit in — CBT notes tied the fork to actions, not to a coin flip in a menu. If you evolve the only Pebbling you have, you do not have a research project. You have a locked geology accident.
Rules that follow from that poster:
- Catch extras before you press evolve.
- Park a Lumin in storage or Homeland while the Nova works.
- If a line has weather or biome forms, extras are how you collect them without deleting the combat body.
- Sparkling is a sheen, not a stage. Evolving a Sparkling Lumin does not print a second Sparkling; it spends the one you found.
When launch adds more forks — and a 200+ roster almost guarantees it — this wiki will name them on the creature pages. Until then, treat any evolve prompt on a unique-looking Lumin as a Pebbling test: do you have a copy?
Do not evolve the only copy
The button glows. The model is cute. The Nova is on the team builder sample. None of that is a reason to delete the last Lumin of a line.
Keep a copy because:
- Forms. Weather and biome variants may require the earlier stage, or may only spawn as Lumin.
- Forks. Pebbling is the named split; other splits can exist at launch.
- Trade and co-op. Online co-op (up to four Pathfinders) and the CBT exchange tools are how extras become someone else’s missing Gamma. You cannot trade a creature you already merged into the wrong adult.
- Dew Drop crystals. Duplicates feed Resonance. The last copy is a seed, not fodder.
- Twine feel. Some traversal kits change with stage. You might want the small burrower and the large wall. That requires two bodies.
If you only have one Helion, you cannot catch another in a bush. Story companions are the extreme version of the only-copy rule. Wild lines are the daily version.
Dew Drop crystals, Resonance, and Homeland materials
Closed-beta language treated Dew Drop crystals (Dewdrop in some UI strings) as the family-tagged material you get from catching more of the same line. Resonance — Star Up and Ascension style upgrades in test notes — ate those crystals. That loop is why how to catch is an evolution page in disguise: pods spent on a family you actually field are pods converted into stats.
Homeland is where the boring materials come from. Facilities on the RV print the upgrade junk that evolution screens also demand. Parking extras in Homeland is smarter than releasing everything for a handful of gems. If you never go home, you will stall on a Nova prompt that is not a level problem, it is a farm problem. Walkthrough: Homeland.
Other named sinks from tests (Astranite tiers, Alpha kills, hot springs, specific items) are gated chores, not a second random gacha. Do the chore for the line you main. Do not vacuum every material ‘just in case’ and then starve Glacy.
A sane evolve order for launch week
- Finish Courses so you know what Break and Heal are.
- Catch a Heal line (Skippy) and a Break line (Hummin or Inferlupa’s family) before you Nova a third Fire.
- Evolve the field four, not the storage twenty.
- Keep one Lumin extra per line you like.
- Spend Dew Drop crystals on the Aniimo that is actually in the team builder spine: Breaker, DPS, Heal, flex.
- Only then chase Sparkling and weather stamps.
Emberpup → Flameruff → Scorchhowl is a good teacher and a bad personality. Skippy → Pranky → Glacy is the Heal you will still want at hour thirty. Hummin → Tuckin is the Break gate. Celestis → Stellarys is the Dark DPS homework. Nimbi → Turbo is Support. Helmut → Pawney → Rookey is the other Dark ladder. Leafy is Regen without a full three-act play. Somniwing may never grow up — rank the wings you have.
What launch will add
New Nova art, new forks, new materials, new reasons to keep a Lumin. We will not pretend CBT level 38/48 gates are sacred. We will keep the principles: stages have jobs, branches need copies, crystals come from catching, Homeland prints the rest.
If your inventory is a row of glowing evolve buttons and one lonely Glacy still stuck as Skippy, you already failed the exam. Close the pretty menu, go back to the creature index, and grow the Heal. Idyll does not give extra credit for a storage full of unfinished wolves.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers Pathfinders search for before launch.
What do Lumin, Gamma, and Nova mean?
They are the three evolution stages used in the Aniilog: early, middle, and final. Some lines skip Gamma; a few specialists in CBT dumps do not evolve at all.
Should I evolve every Aniimo I catch?
No. Keep a Lumin extra for forms, forks, trades, and Dew Drop income. Evolve the four you field. Pebbling is the branch that punishes the only-copy habit.
Where do evolution materials come from?
Duplicates feed Dew Drop crystals for Resonance. Homeland facilities print the rest of the junk. Catch on purpose with how to catch and go home via Homeland.
Does Sparkling change the evolution?
Sparkling is a rare sheen, not a fourth stage. Evolving a Sparkling spends that body. It does not print a second Sparkling Nova for free.
Can I undo a Pebbling fork?
Closed-beta notes treated the split as an action-gated choice, not as a cheap respec. Keep a spare Lumin before you commit, then pick the Nova that matches the biome you actually live in.
