Aniimo PvE Tier List
Closed-beta ranks for story, Alphas, and Institute fights — roles first, numbers second.
This is not a laboratory ranking. The Global Closed Beta (9–25 July 2026) showed about 94 named Aniimo. Launch marketing still claims more than 200 when PC and consoles open on 16 September 2026 (mobile on the 23rd). Every S/A/B/C label below is a CBT snapshot of how testers filled four slots against story elites, Alphas, and Institute checks. Skills will be tuned. Entire lines will appear. If a creator posts exact DPS tables, they are measuring a wiped client, not the live game.
Use this page to learn roles and coverage, then rebuild with the team builder and the type chart. Cross-check names on the creature index. For movement-only value, leave this list and open exploration tiers. For Diamond Egg Heist, use the PvP list. The parent tier list hub explains why we refuse a single combined chart.
How to read the letters
We rank field usefulness in PvE, not cuteness and not Twine tourism:
- S — testers kept this job on the field for hard Alphas even when inventory was full.
- A — clear identity, easy to recommend, sometimes benched for coverage.
- B — works when you understand the fight, or when you are still filling the Aniilog.
- C — teaching tools, early bodies, or specialists that lose to the recommended spine.
Helion and Lunara are story companions, not wild S-tier forever. They belong in the starter comparison, not as a free win on this chart. Sparkling sheens are rarity flex, not a combat rank. A Sparkling Emberpup is still Fire DPS homework.
You bring four Aniimo into a fight and choose among five roles: DPS, Break, Heal, Support, Regen. The composition that survived tanky Alpha tests was usually Breaker + DPS + Heal + flex (Support or Regen). Stacking four DPS feels fast until the Break bar never opens. If that sentence is new, read combat before you argue with a letter grade.
S-tier snapshot (reasons, not fake numbers)
We do not have lab-tested exact multipliers from Pawprint, and we will not invent them. These names are examples with reasoning — the jobs testers refused to bench.
Glacy (Water Heal, Skippy → Pranky → Glacy). The S-heal is not a hidden damage stat. Alpha fights last long enough that a dedicated Heal keeps the Breaker standing through the second phase. Skippy is the Lumin teacher you meet near water; Glacy is the Nova you actually want when the elite stops being polite. Water also hits Fire and Earth, which is convenient while the tutorial Fire line is still in your party. If you skip Heal because DPS looks higher on a thumbnail, you will call this list wrong.
Tuckin (Grass Break, Hummin → Tuckin). Break is the PvE gate. Tuckin’s Grass typing leans on Earth and Water walls that Fire greed cannot chew. Testers parked a Grass Breaker next to a Fire DPS because the jobs do not overlap. Hummin is the meadow Lumin; do not freeze the line there and then complain that Alphas feel immortal.
Inferlupa (Fire/Dark Break). Dual-type Break with greedy offense: Fire into Ice and Grass, Dark into Light, Fire, and Grass. Earth and Water punish the Dark side, so Inferlupa is S as a Breaker, not as a one-button carry. Bring coverage. Do not field Inferlupa plus three more Dark mages and then blame the chart when a river Alpha deletes you.
Stellarys (Dark DPS, Celestis → Stellarys). The magic-heavy DPS testers kept when they needed a second damage identity besides Scorchhowl. Dark’s edge on Light, Fire, and Grass is real. Earth and Water are the tax. Stellarys is S-adjacent when the Breaker already exists; it is only A if you try to make it the whole team.
Thornblade (Grass DPS). Grass hitting Earth and Water explains why Thornblade shows up in overworld parties that bounce between caves and rivers. It is weak to Fire and to Grass itself — do not Twine it into a brush fire. Treat it as a coverage DPS, not a universal carry.
Scorchhowl (Fire DPS, Emberpup → Flameruff → Scorchhowl). Everyone’s first teacher. Fire torches Ice and Grass. Water and Earth hit back. S as a readable DPS with a complete three-stage line, not because it is unbeatable. Four Scorchhowl cousins is how you fail a Water Alpha. Keep the line. Mix the other three slots.
| Role | S-ish CBT examples | Why testers kept them |
|---|---|---|
| Heal | Glacy | Team-wide sustain through Alpha phases |
| Break | Tuckin, Inferlupa | Break bar is the gate; Grass and Fire/Dark cover different walls |
| DPS | Stellarys, Thornblade, Scorchhowl | Readable damage plus element coverage, not a mono-Fire pile |
A-tier: keep, then specialise
Leafy (Grass Regen) sits in the flex slot when fights are long and Heal is already covered. Regen is not a fake Heal; it is a different energy curve. Nimbi → Turbo (Wind Support) is the other common flex: energy and utility when rotations stretch. Wind beats Dark and Grass; Wind and Earth punish it, so Turbo is not a free fourth DPS.
Helmut → Pawney → Rookey is the bulkier Dark line. Still eats Earth and Water. Use it when you want Dark pressure without putting every egg in Stellarys. Budclaw, Shrubclaw, Cubbo, and Grizbo are Earth walls: Earth crushes Ice and Lightning, then Water and Wind are the exit door. Helion or Lunara (Light story DPS) play like early A because they teach Twine and sit in the party without a catch roll. Ice and Lightning trouble Light. They are not a reason to skip Glacy.
B-tier: honest workhorses
Emberpup and Flameruff are Scorchhowl homework — keep the line, finish it, do not freeze at Lumin. Celestis is Stellarys homework. Skippy and Pranky are Glacy homework; a B-Heal is still better than no Heal. Hummin is Tuckin homework. Witchin showed up as Support-shaped utility without replacing Glacy. Pebbling is a Break body with a branch; rank the Nova you actually pick after you read evolutions.
B-tier is where most launch-week parties will live, and that is fine. The Aniilog has ~94 named records in CBT dumps. You will not field six S bodies on day one, and online co-op does not replace learning Break.
C-tier: not trash, just not the Alpha plan
Early commons you catch to learn Snap, catch stance, and elements. Cute Lumin bodies that duplicate a role you already filled. Exploration specialists such as Somniwing and Eko belong on the exploration list. Stuffing them into PvE S because they look cinematic is how lists become fanfiction. If a creature’s best sentence is about flying over a ridge, it is not an Alpha rank.
Duplicate Fire DPS after you already have Scorchhowl is also C for PvE planning. Catch them for Dew Drop crystals and Aniilog stamps, then park extras in Homeland instead of forcing a fifth Fire onto a four-slot field.
Element coverage beats trophy collecting
Nine elements: Ice, Light, Fire, Dark, Lightning, Wind, Earth, Water, Grass. Light is not Lightning. Ice has lots of resists and leans on Lightning and Water. If your four slots are Fire/Fire/Dark/Dark, Water content will feel broken even though the encounter is fair. Pair this list with the type chart before you spend crystals.
Online co-op (up to four Pathfinders) lets a friend bring the Breaker you refused to catch. It does not let four unhealed DPS ignore mechanics. Call help after you have a spine, not instead of one.
What we will change after 16 September
Launch adds lines, weather forms, and probably whole jobs that were thin in the 94-name index. We will reshuffle this PvE page independently of PvP and exploration so a flyer buff cannot accidentally promote a boss killer. Until then, treat S as testers would not bench this job, not as a damage spreadsheet.
Build the spine in the team builder, learn the feel in combat, and only then argue about whether Thornblade or Stellarys should sit in the fourth slot. Idyll’s Alphas do not grade your thumbnail; they grade whether the Break bar actually opened.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers Pathfinders search for before launch.
Is this the official Aniimo PvE tier list?
No. Pawprint does not publish S/A/B/C ranks. This page is a fan snapshot from closed beta, split from PvP and exploration. See the tier list hub for the ranking rules.
Why is Glacy S-tier if it does not kill bosses?
PvE is a four-slot job. A Heal that keeps the Breaker alive through an Alpha phase does more than a fourth DPS that dies to the same slam. Glacy is S for the Heal job, not for a fake damage stat.
Should I bench Emberpup for Stellarys?
Finish the Emberpup line into Scorchhowl, then mix elements. Stellarys is a second DPS identity, not a reason to delete Fire. Check the type chart against the elite in front of you.
Do Sparkling or weather forms change these ranks?
Rarity is not a combat letter. A Sparkling common is still that species' role. Weather forms may shift elements at launch; we will retier named forms when they have Aniilog numbers, not rumours.
Will the 16 September launch wipe this list?
Ranks will move because the live roster is advertised as 200+ creatures. Recheck this page after PC and console launch; mobile follows on 23 September 2026. Do not treat July CBT numbers as live.
